Morbillo, in meno di due anni 19mila casi e 44 morti

Se il morbillo continua a colpire in Europa, è perché in molti Stati la protezione vaccinale è sotto il livello di copertura ottimale.

Tra gennaio 2016 e ottobre 2017 sono circa 19mila i casi segnalati complessivamente, e 44 i morti.

Romania, Italia e Germania sono i paesi con il maggior numero di casi rilevati quest’anno, come ha segnalato l’ultimo rapporto del Centro europeo per il controllo delle malattie.

La Romania ha registrato 7.570 casi, con un netto aumento da ottobre 2016, l’Italia 4.617 casi con un aumento dallo scorso gennaio e la Germania 891 casi con la crescita di persone colpite da febbraio 2017.

In generale i dati mostrano un aumento dei casi in tutte le fasce d’età in Europa, la mappa della copertura vaccinale evidenzia che in Italia è sotto l’84%, insieme a Francia e Romania, mentre in Germania, Inghilterra, Austria e Polonia è tra l’84 e 94%, e in Spagna e Svezia è tra il 95 e 99%, di tutti i casi segnalati tra settembre 2016 e agosto 2017, l’87% non era vaccinato.

Gli ultimi dati disponibili sulle coperture vaccinali dell’Organizzazione Mondiale della Sanità mostrano che la prima dose del vaccino contro il morbillo è sotto il 95% in 18 paesi su 30, mentre la seconda dose è sotto il 95% in 20 paesi su 27 di quelli che riportano i dati.

Per eradicare la malattia, interrompere il contagio e assicurare l”immunità di gregge’, l’obiettivo da raggiungere è quello di almeno il 95%.

E’ importante soprattutto per proteggere i bambini sotto l’anno di vita, che sono particolarmente a rischio per le complicazioni del morbillo e sono troppo piccoli per ricevere la prima dose.

    The next time I read a weblog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as much as this one. I imply, I do know it was my option to learn, however I truly thought youd have something attention-grabbing to say. All I hear is a bunch of whining about something that you would fix in the event you werent too busy looking for attention.
